How to test if 304 grade stainless steel legs are genuine

1. The most reliable method is to use manganese test solution. Apply a drop of the solution to the stainless steel surface. If the solution turns red or light pink, it means it is not grade 304
2. Testing with a magnet should not result in attraction. However, this method may not be 100% effective due to possible inaccuracies in the molding or bending process that may allow the magnet to stick
